At 11:38 AM, our campus was placed on lockdown through our phone system. After a thorough investigation, we have determined that the alert was triggered by a phone malfunction and that there was no actual threat to the safety of our students or staff.
We apologize for any concern or disruption this may have caused. The safety and well-being of our school community are always our top priority, and we are reviewing our procedures and technology to help prevent similar false alarms in the future.
Excellent job to all GCISD staff members and the GCSO Team for promptly taking the necessary safety measures to protect our students.

Our very own Aubrey Halfmann and Khloee Sanders will be representing Garden City Junior High at Disney World as All-American Cheerleaders today! We are proud of you both! Check comments for how to watch.
Glasscock County FFA Members were up early as they competed at the Area 2 LDE Contest! We had 41 students compete in 14 different events. Members showed out as we were top 5 in seven of these events! In addition, 2 teams were Area Champions and 2 teams were Area Runners up! These 4 teams qualified for the State Contest! Here are the results:
