Our third-grade students successfully completed a biography project that highlighted their research, presentation, and artistic talents. Everyone did an outstanding job! Additionally, we hosted our own version of March Madness in preparation for STAAR, where students had to complete IXL skills to advance on our bracket. Congratulations to our champion, Brody Dupriest!

A group of students attended the Texas ProStart Invitational in Waco over the weekend to observe and learn about the many exciting opportunities to compete and earn scholarships for next year! ProStart is the top tier hands-on training program that we will be offering in our high school culinary classes next year with opportunities for industry certification and more. The techniques were incredible, the plates were beautiful and the competition was intense! Teams had only one hour to cook and plate their 3-course meal for judging! Other students participated in individual contests including themed cake decorating, table setting on the fly, build a better burger, mocktail mixology and more! As an added bonus they also got to check out the Regional HS BBQ competition and meet some of the stars of the show BBQ High on the Magnolia Network. So many exciting new things on the horizon for our culinary contestants next year!
