Culinary Students attended the District 2 SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference at the West Texas Training Center in San Angelo.
They attended a variety of workshops about leadership, teamwork, parliamentary procedure, workplace skills, and future career areas as well as training programs and college. All of our attending students completed the requirements for the District Statesman Award by researching facts about SkillsUSA and being quizzed on them by district officers!
It was a great day! SkillsUSA is a national organization that helps prepare students for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations that all of our Culinary students can participate in. There are opportunities for students to demonstrate their skills this spring in Leadership events as well as Cake Decorating, Cooking & Baking Competitions, as well as Restaurant Service.
Stay tuned for more exciting news about our students and SkillsUSA in the future!

When you have teachers bragging on teachers.....
Mrs. Brinkley is SUCH a good teacher. I love going to her class everyday.
Her students are learning coordinates right now. What better way to practice than by having a “Battleship Tournament???"
Just one glimpse of our day and our amazing staff!
