Due to impending weather, the district track meet will be held on Thursday, April 3.
Meet is still at Robert Lee, and will follow the same meet schedule.

A group of students attended the Texas ProStart Invitational in Waco over the weekend to observe and learn about the many exciting opportunities to compete and earn scholarships for next year! ProStart is the top tier hands-on training program that we will be offering in our high school culinary classes next year with opportunities for industry certification and more. The techniques were incredible, the plates were beautiful and the competition was intense! Teams had only one hour to cook and plate their 3-course meal for judging! Other students participated in individual contests including themed cake decorating, table setting on the fly, build a better burger, mocktail mixology and more! As an added bonus they also got to check out the Regional HS BBQ competition and meet some of the stars of the show BBQ High on the Magnolia Network. So many exciting new things on the horizon for our culinary contestants next year!

GC FFA Members were busy competing at CDE Invitationals at the end of the week last week! We had 30 students compete across 8 different CDE Contests. Here are the highlights!

🔴Milk Quality, Horse Judging, Vet Science, Entomology, and Ag Sales all had their high scores of the season
West Texas A&M CDE Invitational

First grade and FCCLA's Focus on Children with Lilly Hillger presented Wings of Wonder. First grade learned about butterfly habitat, migration and food sources. Students planted milkweed seeds for the Monarch Butterflies that will be passing through during the spring.
Lilly will be going to state with her presentation that the first graders got to enjoy.
