Garden City Elementary will be receiving their National Blue Ribbon School Award today.
GC FFA Members participated in the Texas Tech LDE Invitational on Wednesday. We had several students finish top 5 in their events! This was our last practice contest prior to district. District contests are next Thursday.

VATRE informational meeting tonight at 6pm in the Ruth Cook Auditorium.
GC FFA members attended the first general session of the 95th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this morning! Students heard from National FFA Officers and a keynote from Olympian Tamika Catchings! What an opportunity!
Tomorrow’s JV game vs Sands has been cancelled due to Sands not having enough players available. All JV players will be suiting up Friday night.

What a ride! Abbie Garza auditioned in the National FFA Talent competition yesterday. She will not be moving on to the semi-finals, but will be one of 30 students to perform in front of a National audience over the next few days. She has the following performance slots:
