Glasscock County ISD Board of Trustees

The meeting was called to order at 6:08 p.m. with board members; Andy Wheeler, Carl Hoelscher, Tibby Niehues, Douglas Schaefer, Nathan Halfmann and Kevin Hirt were present. Absent was Douglas Jost. Others present was Mary Jo Cope.

Steve Long presented the 2009-2010 proposed budget and tax rate. Discussion included the maintenance and operations budget and state and federal program funding. Discussion also included the amount of stimulus funds that would be received and how the funds would be distributed. The budget was prepared using $1.0371 M&O tax rate and $.031 I&S tax rate, totaling $1.0671.

Carl Hoelscher made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Tibby Niehues. CU. Meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.

Special Called Meeting- August 27, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. with board members Kevin Hirt, Carl Hoelscher, Andy Wheeler, Tibby Niehues, Nathan Halfmann, and Douglas Schaefer present. Douglas Jost was absent. Others present was Mary Jo Cope.

Tibby Niehues made a motion to approve budget amendments as presented, (see attachments), seconded by Nathan Halfmann. CU.

Nathan Halfmann made the motion to approve tax rate as presented @ $1.0371 M&O, and $.03, for a total tax rate of $1.0671, seconded by Kevin Hirt. CU.

Tibby Niehues made the motion to accept 2009-10 budgets as presented, seconded by Tibby Niehues. CU.

Salary schedule was discussed. No action taken due to lack of state information.

Douglas Schaefer made the motion to approve adjunct faculty as presented, seconded by Andy Wheeler. CU.

Carl Hoelscher made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Douglas Schaefer. CU. Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
