Superintendent's Message

Parents and Students:

August 2017

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you again as Superintendent of Schools. I am beginning my fifth year as your Superintendent and I feel that we have made great strides both academically and athletically the past three years. Again in 2016-2017 we were at the top of the accountability list as we “Met Standard Expectations” according to the Texas Education Agency. In academic competition and athletic competition we were at or near the top as well.

Two years ago we formed an education committee to look at what we have done in the past and how successful it was, what we are doing now and its success and what we can do in the future to help our students to not only be better educated but to be a well- rounded student college ready or ready for the workforce when they graduate.

As we move into a new school year, the expectations have not changed but our mission, vision, and goals have changed slightly. Please see our new mission, and vision statements along with goals the board has set for the new school year. We can all improve with hard work, determination, and the ability to work together for a common goal. Let’s make 2017-2018 a year to remember as we strive to meet and exceed our expectations. It’s a great year to be a part of Glasscock County ISD. Go Bearkats and Lady Kats!!!

Sincerely,
